Iliman Ndiaye Gives Manchester City a Fresh Betting Angle After Everton Move

September 3, 2026 at 2:55 pm

Manchester City’s move for Iliman Ndiaye adds another flexible attacker to the squad, with bettors now watching how his role affects goals, assists and rotation markets.

City Add Another Attacking Option

Manchester City have signed Iliman Ndiaye from Everton in a deal reportedly worth up to £65 million.

The Senegal international arrives with Premier League experience and the ability to operate across several attacking positions. That versatility gives City more options, but it also makes Ndiaye slightly harder to price from a betting perspective.

The first question is not how many goals he will score. It is how often he will start.

City already have plenty of attacking talent, so Ndiaye could be used as a regular starter, a wide forward or a flexible option who moves between positions depending on the opponent.

That uncertainty could make his early-season player props worth watching.

Minutes Will Shape the Prop Markets

For anyone betting on Ndiaye, playing time will be the biggest factor.

Anytime scorer prices always attract attention when a big-money forward joins a top club, but goals may not be the best place to start. If Ndiaye is regularly substituted around the hour mark or rotated between matches, that naturally cuts into his scoring chances.

Shots, shots on target and assist markets could offer more value.

Ndiaye is comfortable carrying the ball and creating openings rather than simply waiting for chances inside the penalty area. Surrounded by higher-level finishers at City, his creative numbers could climb even if his goal tally remains fairly modest.

That makes assists one of the more interesting markets to monitor.

Everton May Offer the Bigger Betting Opportunity

The impact on Everton could be just as important.

Ndiaye was one of their more adaptable attacking players, and removing that versatility can change the way a team builds attacks. If Everton struggle to replace his creativity quickly, bettors could find opportunities in team-goal unders and opposition clean-sheet markets.

First-half betting may also be worth a look.

Teams adjusting after losing an important attacker can become slower and more predictable in possession, especially early in the season. If Everton find it difficult to create chances, their first-half scoring numbers could become more appealing to oppose.

That could matter more than any immediate movement in Manchester City’s outright odds.

Do Not Overreact to the Transfer Fee

A £65 million deal naturally attracts attention, but bettors should avoid treating Ndiaye’s arrival as proof that City suddenly deserve a much shorter title price.

One attacking signing rarely changes a futures market on its own.

The smarter approach is to watch how City actually use him. If Ndiaye becomes a regular creator, assist props could be the standout angle. If he is used mainly from the bench, substitute scoring markets may become more interesting.

There is also a knock-on effect to consider. Every extra minute Ndiaye plays means fewer minutes, touches and chances for another City attacker.

That is where the real betting story may develop.

The transfer itself is headline material. The useful information for bettors will come from who starts, who gets pushed aside and which player markets take longest to adjust.
